Fergie’s Young Star Tempted By Bundesliga Move

Calm down United fans, I’m not on about your precious ‘Chicarito’, Javier Hernandez is going nowhere. The striker I’m on about is Gabriel Obertan, the 21-year old who was a product of the ‘Clairefontaine conveyer-belt’.

Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen are both interested in bringing the Frenchman, who has only 1 goal for United, in January.

With the emergence of Javier Hernandez and the performances of Mame Diouf and Danny Welbeck with Blackburn and Sunderland respectively, it is possible that Sir Alex might be willing to listen to offers for a guy who could well be down to 7th in the pecking order come next season.

It is likely that Obertan will be initially available on loan with a view to a sale somewhere in the region of £4m come the summer.

So United fans? Do you think it’s too early to cast out Obertan?
