Fergie Gets The Green Light From The Croatian’s Manager

A sure way to drive interest in a player and their price up is to declare that a club like Manchester United is interested in them. We’ve seen it often enough this summer being a prime example where we were linked with such a large number of player but eventually signed none of them.

Dinamo Zagreb president Zdravko Mamic declared that they may be ready to listen to offers for their wonder kid (pronounced – “She-meh Vers-al-yu-ko”), a pretty strange move as most clubs usually come out stating that they will be doing their utmost to keep their young talent but Mamic said quite frankly:

“It is normal for a club like ours to survive by selling our best players.”

It appears that he is looking to get a decent fee for the 18 year old but what’s so special about him that makes Mamic think that people will be interested?

The youngster has been making waves after going on loan to feeder club Lokomotiva in 09/10 aged 17 where he made 17 appearances starting every game. He returned to Zagreb in December making 10 appearances as Zagreb went on to win the Croatian league.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
