Regulars at the bar are still scratching their heads at the confusing form of Chelsea this term, with the Champions currently languishing in 16th in the Premier League.
But our punters are equally confused as to why promising youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek still hasn’t made a breakthrough in the team. Indeed, with the poor form of Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas this season, one could be left wondering as to why he hasn’t been given a chance.
Today, the Express are reporting that the 19-year-old is seeking a loan move away from the club in January. Having only made two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, Loftus-Cheek is seeking more regular game time. It is believed that he will put both Premier League and Championship clubs on red alert for his services.
However, Loftus-Cheek should not get his hopes up too much, with Jose Mourinho unlikely to let the youngster leave while the Blues are in dire straits.
Furthermore, Mourinho wants the youngster to learn from the more experienced players in the side. Then again, perhaps that is the point, Loftus-Cheek isn’t learning anything positive from them this season!

Sunderland
The North East club could be one possible destination for Loftus-Cheek, where the youngster could provide some firm competition to Lee Cattermole and Yann M’Vila.
Loftus-Cheek could certainly bolster the Sunderland midfield with his physicality and technical ability, while it could also benefit his character to be involved in a relegation battle.
AFC Bournemouth
Having suffered some serious long term injuries, AFC Bournemouth will be looking to add some names to the side in January to turn their fortunes around. Eddie Howe is always very supportive of young talent, and Loftus-Cheek could prove a useful shield in front of the back four.
Loftus-Cheek will be competing with the likes of Andrew Surman and Harry Arter, who with plenty of experience of their own, will be able to help Loftus-Cheek’s development.
Reading
It is highly likely that Loftus-Cheek could follow in the footsteps of Nathanel Chabolah, Nathan Ake and Michael Hector, by taking the relatively short trip to the Madejski Stadium.
Steve Clarke has used his Chelsea connections in the past, and may want Loftus-Cheek to bolster his midfield options. Loftus-Cheek will be made to work his way into the side, but that will no harm for his development at all.
Fulham
Loftus-Cheek could also take a shorter trip to another Championship side, Chelsea’s West London Rivals Fulham. Fulham are currently 12th in the Championship, but are only eight points behind the play offs.
Loftus-Cheek could be the youthful breath of fresh air that the Cottagers need, while he would still learn off experienced players such as Scott Parker.
QPR
Finally, Loftus-Cheek could move to another West London side on a short term basis in the form of Queens Park Rangers. Loftus-Cheek is arguably a much more talented option than Karl Henry, who continues to steal a living as a footballer.
The youngster could hopefully boost the Hoop’s promotion ambitions, while still learning off the likes of experienced midfielders such as Leroy Fer.
