The exodus from Glasgow Rangers this summer already appears to have started.
On Tuesday, the Ibrox outfit confirmed that no less than six players will be leaving the club on free transfers at the end of this current campaign. Those soon-to-be free agents are Wes Foderingham, Jak Alnwick, Jason Holt, Jordan Rossiter, Andy Halliday and Jon Flanagan.

Foderingham’s departure does not appear to have gone down too well with many of the club’s supporters. The 29-year-old goalkeeper was signed on a free transfer in 2015 and has since gone on to make 144 appearances for the ‘Gers, but the return of Allan McGregor to the club has reduced him to a place on the bench. As such, a move away from Glasgow could see him play far more regularly.

Following the announcement, some of the club’s supporters have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
Such a shame to lose Wes but he needs to be playing. He’s too good a keeper to sit out so many games. Wish him the absolute best of luck and it’s been a pleasure having him play for Rangers. Good luck Wes, we’ll miss you.

IMO Rangers completely botched the Foderingham situation. Excellent keeper, bringing in shagger is fair enough but Wes had value then we left him to rot on the bench for 2 years until hes released on a free. Wasted the asset. He’ll go on to be a good keeper at a decent level imo

at one point we would have got 2m or more for Fod no probs but rangers are a terrible selling club

When was the last time we got any good fee for a player? We need to box smarter then this.

@wes_foderingham leaving the club without getting any kind of fee for him is very poor transfer management imo…far superior GK to most of the jobbers out there. All the best wherever you go Wes lad! 👐 💙🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/mWd6MpEzkO

Gutted to lose Wes Foderingham as he’s a top goalkeeper, he will do well in his career. All the best in the future @wes_foderingham https://t.co/6EELwYs9E9
