Everton fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure a European spot next season, after failing to make it out of the group stage in the current campaign. 

Interestingly, the Toffees have improved massively as the season has gone on with a top-half finish already secured, as many of our local Evertonians are feeling extremely pleased. But, the club will need to dip into the transfer market in the summer transfer window, with plenty of areas needing improving after a rather nervy season.

Surprisingly, it appears that Everton are interested in signing Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, as Sam Allardyce is looking to bolster his midfield before the start of next season. Although, the Toffees should look to bring in a different midfielder in the summer months, as Ki Sun-yueng has struggled to break into the Swans’ starting lineup in the current campaign.

Therefore, Everton should look to sign these TWO Premier League lynchpins instead of Ki Sung-yueng…

Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere has been rather impressive since returning from injury as he looks to be nearing his old best, with many of our local Evertonians wanting to see him at Goodison Park.

However, his future at Arsenal is still surrounded with doubt as a summer transfer window exit is looking likely, with Everton possibly looking to bring the experienced midfielder to Merseyside.

So, the Toffees should look to make a move for the central midfielder in the summer months, as he could bring an attacking threat from the middle of midfield and will produce consistent performances.

Yohan Cabaye

The Frenchman has always oozed class whenever he takes to the field for Crystal Palace, but he hasn’t been able to reach his maximum potential in the current campaign with his contract running out in the summer.

Therefore, Everton should look to sign the experienced midfielder in the summer transfer window, as he would bring a sense of calmness and quality to the midfield with an added attacking threat from long-range.

Indeed, Yohan Cabaye would be an incredible purchase if the Toffees decide to bring him to Goodison Park, as he can provide a wealth of experience and will always give his best on the field.
