Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern got their wish and finished above rivals Tottenham on the final day of the season.
However, St Totteringham’s day really should have been the day that Arsenal won the title.
Arsene Wenger looks to be heading into retirement, his contract runs out at the Emirates at the end of the coming season and surely the Frenchman wants to go out on a high.
Arsenal’s top scorer this season was Olivier Giroud. The tall forward grabbed 16 goals in the league and went through a 15 match spell without hitting the net.
Arsenal fans have grown furious since Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp because the side is just not clinical enough, Arsenal have been linked with a summer move for Alvaro Morata, but the landlord at the Tavern thinks that there are plenty of better options around.
The Spanish forward scored just 12 goals in all competitions this season and for that reason, we think that there are FIVE better options for Arsene Wenger to consider…..

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang

At the Tavern, we simply cannot believe that Arsenal haven’t been bidding for this man.
The 26- year-old was on fire all season for Borussia Dortmund, scoring 39 goals and providing 12 assists.
The Gabon captain would be a perfect fit for Arsenal, he is quick, skilful, determined and more importantly, he can score with ease.
The landlord at the Tavern thinks that any bid accepted under £65 million is an absolute bargain.
Gonzalo Higuain

Nobody can argue with Higuain’s statistics this season.
The Argentina forward scored 36 goals in just 35 games and was in relentless form throughout the campaign.
Arsenal failed with a couple of bids for Higuain in 2013 whilst he was at Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old is in the form of his life and is yet to play in the Premier League, it would almost be a criminal offence for Arsenal not to put a bid in for him.
Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku has seemingly been in the Premier League forever and the 23-year-old has already scored over 50 Premier League goals, in fact the Belgian is one of three players to score a hat-trick after being born after the Premier League was founded.
The Belgian announced that he wants to leave Everton, according to Sky Sports.
Lukaku is an all-round team player and any side would be lucky to have him, Lukaku also provided 7 assists for his team-mates, which is always a quality that Wenger admires.
Alexandre Lacazette

A couple of clubs have failed with bids for the French forward but Arsenal are one of the world’s biggest teams, and could surely tempt the 24-year-old to North London.
Lacazette helped himself to 21 goals in Ligue 1 this term and is always a menace.
Lacazette is great on the ball and is very quick too, the Arsenal fan by the pool table thinks Arsenal can do better, he doesn’t want another Giroud from the French league.
Paulo Dybala

The boys at the Tavern are certain that this is the man that Arsenal should go for.
The 22- year-old had a tremendous campaign in Turin, helping to fire Juventus to the league and cup titles with 23 goals and 9 assists, not bad for a kid!
The quick forward has already played for Argentina alongside Lionel Messi and the young sensation could be an excellent player at the Emirates.
