The Liverpool fans are absolutely fuming with their club’s lack of transfer activity so far this month, and they are hoping that Klopp will make an eleventh hour bid to sign a quality player before the window slams shut tomorrow night.
Clubs across the Premier League have made, and are beginning to make their final moves in the transfer market before the deadline passes on Wednesday, but it appears that Liverpool’s business for the month has already been concluded.
Liverpool made the first high-profile acquisition of the month by announcing the signing of Virgil Van Dijk before 2018 had even begun, and the departure of Philippe Coutinho was announced shortly after Van Dijk had arrived at the club.
Since Coutinho’s departure, there have been plenty of rumours concerning a wide range of players who Liverpool were supposedly targeting to replace their Brazilian wizard, but nothing has come of those rumours as of yet.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Man City have completed the signing of Aymeric Laporte, Tottenham look set to confirm the arrival of Lucas Moura, and Arsenal are sweating on a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Liverpool don’t appear to have any transfers lined up ahead of the January deadline, much to the frustration of The Reds faithful.
To add to their transfer woes, Liverpool have also let Daniel Sturridge depart the club on loan, so it’s easy to sympathise with the concerns of the supporters.
The frustration of the Liverpool supporters has started to boil over on Twitter, and consequently there have been plenty of calls for FSG to leave the club if they are not willing to back Klopp in the transfer market.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans have had to say about their perceived lack of transfer activity this month…

Arsenal – Sold Sanchez, bought Mhiki & Auba.
Chelsea – Sold Costa, bought Morata, not Barkley.
Spurs – Sold no one, bough Lucas Moura.
City – Sold no one, bought Laporte.
United – Signed Sanchez.
Liverpool – Sold their best player, didn't replace him.
Spot the difference.

ManU signed Sanchez. Arsenal ready to sign Aubameyang. Chelsea in talks with Giroud. Spurs linked with Lucas Moura. And then there is Liverpool who sold their best player and choose not to replace him. GREAT!

A transfer window consisting of Aubameyang, Sanchez and Lucas Moura being available and Liverpool nowhere near being interested, let alone signing them. Lunatics.

Spurs close to signing Lucas Moura, who will provide backup and competition for Kane, Lamela, Alli, Son, Llorente. Meanwhile at Liverpool Danny Ings “is like a new signing”

If we don’t bring anyone else in this January, on the 1st of February, I will be FSG out. I won’t force it down everyone’s throats, I’m just letting you know. I’ve actually had enough.

100% with you on this.

I’m in, enough is enough! They’ve shown no ambition, only bothered about how much money they can make!
