The past few weeks have been rather tempestuous in Scottish football and Glasgow Rangers have been at the very centre of the saga.
The ‘Gers were one of the clubs who were most adamant on ending the season on the pitch rather than finishing it early, which was eventually the outcome. Following the vote for the SPFL’s resolution proposal, they accused the governing body of corruption and even produced a 200-page dossier to prove so. In the end, however, the majority of the other 41 clubs in Scotland’s top four tiers did not agree that an independent investigation into the SPFL was needed.

There has also been plenty of news in regards to a reconstruction of the country’s footballing pyramid. Hearts owner Ann Budge is pushing for a mix-up and has even put together a proposal that would see the Scottish football league become three tiers of 14 clubs, but only for two years.

That will save the game in Scotland….. no wait, it will only save hearts. Self interest will kill our game
Get this binned and be brave and introduce proper reform for our game.
This is the perfect time to rip it up and start all over again.

Budge is going to propose a 14 team league with a caveat of further reconstruction talks next year – I suppose that means that the bottom 5 or 6 clubs will not really know where the line is to be drawn in the relegation battle they will all be embroiled in – one word “shambles!”

Well that’s pointless, you cannot change league structure because you’re are getting relegated
