Glasgow Rangers aren’t the only team who are unhappy with the Scottish Premiership being brought to a close.
The ‘Gers had fought to keep the campaign alive but on Monday it was decided that there would be no more top-tier action this term, meaning that the Ibrox outfit would finish the season in second place. Also, it means that Hearts have been relegated to Championship despite them being just four points from safety with eight games left to play.

Owner Ann Budge has already pushed for fresh reconstruction talks and now their former chairman George Foulkes has waded into the debate. He has said that he has asked the Scottish government to call on UEFA to investigate the decision to end the season despite the European governing body’s recommendation to finish it.

Unsurprisingly, Foulkes’ comments have delighted many ‘Gers supporters. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
Well said, George.
This stinks to high heaven.— Reigny Day (@FourthOfOctober) May 19, 2020
Their modus operandi is clear, George.
It’s why an independent body are required to bring clarity to this situation, wherein skewed logic, lack of transparencey and improper governance need to be held to account.
The @spfl are complicit. #SportingIntegrity

SPFL, the P should be dropped as those clowns that run the game are far from professional. Every effort should have been made to complete the season.

Well said George. It stinks and people deserve answers for what’s went on with that vote.

Well done George. This has been a complete stitch up from the moment the spfl wrote to uefa saying that scottiah clubs wanted to call the season there and then. This was before the first vote!! Its just a shame that fans of other clubs can’t see what is going on
