There was plenty of information in Glasgow Rangers’ 200-page dossier that was meant to prove that the SPFL were guilty of wrongdoing.
One of their main allegations was accusing the governing body of not passing on important information to the clubs under their leadership, primarily in regards to the current TV deal. It was claimed a potential £10m liability to broadcasters BT and Sky Sports would be due if the season is not ended, which would equate to 40% of the money set to be dished out to the sides in the country’s top four divisions.

BT’s contract with the Scottish Premiership will come to an end at the conclusion of this season, with Sky Sports set to take over the screening rights. The league is also looking for a new sponsor, and journalist Raman Bhardwaj believes that Sky will take up that role too.

This possibility does not appear to be too popular among some ‘Gers supporters, with many believing that this will be used as compensation for the rumoured liability – one fan even called it a “farce”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
Absolute joke. Scottish football is dead. How Doncaster is still in a job is beyond me. https://t.co/2eXU9sBtSr
