After plenty of talk and statements, Glasgow Rangers have failed to pick up the votes they needed at the Emergency General Meeting on Monday as they attempted to force through an independent investigation into the SPFL.
The ‘Gers have claimed that the governing body have been guilty of wrongdoing and they even produced a 200-page dossier which they believe proved as much. That document was sent to the other 41 clubs in the top four divisions and they were asked to decide whether an inquiry was needed.

In the end, 27 teams voted against an investigation, whilst two abstained, meaning that only 13 teams want to see the SPFL being held to account. Although that is not a majority, that is still a third of the whole footballing pyramid.

A third of any company calling for an investigation into its Corporate Governance is huge!

Cant believe the numbers of manky Mob saying let’s move on now bla bla bla. This is far from over. Just under 36% of the leagues wanted an independent inquiry. Definitely not insignificant. Time to take this all the way @RangersFC
