Glasgow Rangers: Fans react as huge 2011/12 news emerges

Glasgow Rangers have had a tumultuous relationship with the governing bodies of Scottish football in recent times.

The Gers, of course, have recently accused the SPFL of corruption following their handling of the resolution proposal, and they even produced a 200-page dossier to prove as much. They even fought for an independent investigation into the organisation, but that was voted down as only 12 other clubs in Scotland’s top four tiers sided with the 54-time champions.

They may be slightly happier with the SFA though given the latest news. It was confirmed on Tuesday that the authority have dropped their charges against the Gers over their Champions League licence from the 2011/12 campaign, with it being announced they will not take the matter further.

This has led to plenty of reaction from the club’s supporters, who have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the huge news. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
