Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Jordan Campbell tweet

Glasgow Rangers will be licking their wounds after failing to garner the votes they needed to push through an investigation into the SPFL.

In the end, only 13 clubs backed the Gers’ proposal, with 27 voting against it, whilst two clubs decided to abstain. That means, of course, that there will be no second investigation at the moment – the first, carried out by Deloitte, found the SPFL innocent of any wrongdoing, but the fact the governing body themselves selected the company puts the validity of it into question.

This, though, is unlikely to be the end of the matter. Douglas Park has already said the Ibrox outfit will pay for the investigation themselves if needed, whilst there have been indications from the club that this will not be the end of the matter.

Journalist Jordan Campbell is certainly interested to see how things pan out, with him making the valid point that a third of the clubs do not trust the footballing authority. His tweet has received plenty of attention from the Gers supporters, and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts.
