Glasgow Rangers will likely be dismayed by the Scottish Premiership already being brought to a close.
The ‘Gers had fought to keep the season alive but, after the SPFL was given the authority to end it once they saw fit following the vote for their resolution proposal, it was only a matter of time before the decision to finish the campaign as it stood would be taken. Consequently, the Ibrox outfit’s fierce city rivals Celtic were crowned champions whilst Hearts were relegated to the second tier.

As SPFL chief, Neil Doncaster has come under plenty of criticism from the Light Blues’ supporters and he is likely to be on the end of their wrath again following his latest comments. In an interview with Sky Sports, he has said that it was clear to everyone that there wasn’t enough time to get the remaining games played.

This is guy has utterly failed in this role since his appointment. Scottish football is a complete shambles and a lot of the blame can be levelled at him.

Just continuous failure after failure with a good portion of lie put in there too.

Dungcaster paid £388k a year to say what Liewell tells him, 13 clubs see him for what he is, the rest, in Liewell’s pocket🤮

Again with the narrative that any questioning of his governing goes against all member clubs. Dictatorships have been run in a more balanced manor. https://t.co/Xv0zt8jOMQ
