Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to league reconstruction news

Right now, you cannot take your eyes off the Scottish football saga, with Glasgow Rangers at the very centre of all of the fracas.

Dundee’s missing vote, which was then changed, is the reason for all that has since ensued, with the Gers accusing the governing body, the SPFL, of corruption, whilst also producing a 200-page dossier which is said to prove wrongdoing. Either way, that has had little effect so far – as it stands, the top tier has the authority to end the campaign if needed, whilst the Championship, League One and League Two have all ended after the majority of clubs voted for the resolution proposal put on the table.

Part of that was meant to be a reconstruction of the league pyramid, but that has now been knocked back after six of the top-tier clubs voted against it. As per BBC Sport (via The Daily Record), Aberdeen, Hibernian, Ross County, St. Mirren, St. Johnstone and Dundee United were the ones who were not keen to see the plans carried out – that latter’s vote came after city rivals Dundee had voted for the proposal.
