The future of this season’s Scottish Premiership remains in doubt after a new episode was added to the saga.
With professional football on either side of Hadrian’s Wall currently suspended due to the pandemic that has ravaged the planet, it remains unclear whether the league will be finished or cancelled. On Thursday, Rangers made it clear that they wanted to see the term completed, but that they wanted to see the prize money released to give clubs the chance to survive financially.
That proposal, though, has been denied by the SPFL, the club have confirmed. Not only that, the Gers say that other clubs have been bullied into backing the authorities’ own proposal. They have said that they will now re-submit their proposal.
The club’s supporters, as you can imagine, have been reacting in their droves to this news. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform Twitter below.
SPFL and SFA showing yet again how corrupt they are

Delighted my club are leading the charge to uphold #SportingIntegrity in the face of clear attempts at a carve-up to suit a certain club’s hideous lack of class & unrepentant sense of entitlement.
Keep going, Rangers.
The Serpents cannot be handed another tainted title 🐍

You shouldn’t be confused. It’s as clear as day they’re controlled by Celtic so face facts.
If they get their way (as expected) and we don’t issue a statement that we’re not taking tickets for the foreseeable future and asking fans to boycott then I’m through with Rangers.

@ScottishFA – CORRUPT TO THE CORE. Keep calling them out as the cheats and liars that they are.
