Glasgow Rangers: Fans rage as Sky news emerges

It has been revealed that Glasgow Rangers and the rest of the sides in Scotland’s top tier will resume the country’s elite division in August.

The 2019/20 campaign was recently brought to a premature close as a result of the pandemic that has recently wreaked havoc across the planet. Scottish football will need to start up again at some point, and the plan is now that the new term will kick off in two months in tandem with the new Sky TV deal.

Of course, even though the sport will return, fans will not be allowed into stadiums – but the SPFL have revealed how they still plan to help fans see matches. In an announcement, they say that Scottish Premiership clubs will offer virtual season tickets to supporters, allowing them to buy a Sky package to follow their side and enable clubs to make vital matchday revenue.

This, though, has not gone down too well with the Rangers fans, with some worried that this package will be at an extra cost on top of the season tickets they have already bought – one supporter even called this update “disgraceful.”

Its a shambles pal and it’s disgraceful that they can’t update us on BT Sports liabilities and the new league sponsor.

For the virtual ST it sounds like it’s down to the individual clubs. Would be suprised if clubs try to double charge a punter for non sky home games.
