Glasgow Rangers: Fans delighted with Charlton relegation tweet

Joe Aribo has been a good signing for Glasgow Rangers since making the move to Ibrox last summer.

The midfielder moved on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic, and enjoyed a decent first season under Steven Gerrard as he scored nine goals and provided eight assists. He appears to be looking good ahead of the new campaign, as well, with him bagging a fantastic strike against Motherwell in the Gers’ 4-0 friendly victory on Wednesday.

His move to Ibrox, though, was certainly not something Charlton manager Lee Bowyer agreed with. He said before the switch was completed that it was wrong for Aribo to go to the Gers, and that he should have instead stayed in England.

On Wednesday night, the Addicks were relegated to League One after just one term in the Championship, and the club tweeted about their demise. It is fair to say the Gers supporters enjoyed their demotion – they have not forgotten Bowyer’s comments on Aribo. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
