Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Dundee news

Glasgow Rangers appear to be in a strong financial position after they were able to complete two new signings in Ianis Hagi and Calvin Bassey, but as we have seen over the past few days, not every other side north of the border is in such a luxurious position.

It isn’t just the smaller clubs who are struggling, either – some of Scotland’s bigger outfits also find themselves in difficult positions. Hibernian, for example, are discussing shelving their youth academy as they look to cut costs across the board, whilst Aberdeen are in talks with their players and staff in regards to them taking wage cuts.

Dundee, too, do not have it easy, it is being reported. John Nelms, the club’s sporting director, has said that they must make tough choices and have difficult conversations if they are to navigate these worrying times, whilst the premature end to the campaign has cost them more than £500,000.

The Gers supporters have been reacting to this news, and it seems they are absolutely delighted. Dundee, of course, were involved in the resolution proposal saga, when their vote was first not registered and then changed after it was reported they were offered glamour friendlies if they voted in a certain way – as the Gers wanted the season to be completed, they have taken particular offence to this. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
