Glasgow Rangers and their fans have had their problems with The Daily Record in the past.
The Gers supporters do not appear to appreciate the Scottish paper’s coverage of their club – one of their journalists, Keith Jackson, has come under intense criticism, whilst Club1872 were even forced to file an IPSO complaint following an article about the club – they eventually won their claim and the questioned bit of the piece was retracted.

Still, that didn’t mean forgiveness, and the bad blood still exists. That is quite evident following the latest news about the newspaper. It has been revealed that The Daily Record and The Sunday Mail have had to cut 550 jobs as part of their plans to save some cash.

This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and it is fair to say they are absolutely delighted with the update with one even calling it “beautiful news.”
