Glasgow Rangers: Fans discuss Glenn Middleton

Glenn Middleton has failed to make a real impact at Glasgow Rangers so far.

The 20-year-old made the move to Ibrox in 2018, joining from Norwich City, and so far he has made just 28 appearances for the club. Those games have garnered five goals and five assists, but he has failed to become a regular for Steven Gerrard, with him spending time on loan first at Hibernian and now Bradford City this year.

Whether he makes the grade with the 54-time Scottish champions remains to be seen – at the end of the day, he is still rather young – but at least he has contributed with one or two special moments at the club. As part of their Goal of the Day series, the Gers’ official Twitter account decided to share his strike against Dundee.

That led to plenty of reaction from the club’s supporters, and it seems a few believe he should be given more chances – after all, his return so far is not too bad – whilst one even suggested he is better than Brandon Barker, who has been on the end of plenty of criticism from the fans in the past.
