Glasgow Rangers will return to Premiership action against Hibernian after their Europa League exploits on Thursday.
The Gers played in the European competition in midweek as they attempt to qualify for a tournament in which they reached the round of 16 last term. In a potentially tricky tie against Lincoln Red Imps – they famously beat Celtic in the Champions League not so long ago – they were by far the better side, winning 5-0 thanks to goals from James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos – who netted a brace.

However, there was some bad news from that match – Kemar Roofe was forced off in the first half due to injury. Ahead of this weekend’s game, though, Steven Gerrard revealed that he should pull through to be in contention to play this weekend.

This news was met with delight by the Gers supporters, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Indeed, Roofe has enjoyed a good start to life at Ibrox, scoring twice in six games.
You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below, with one labelling it “excellent.”
Feared the worst when Roofe went off given his history but this sounds encouraging. Even if he’s not 100% for SUnday you’d imagine he’d be fit enough to feature against Willem II on Thursday. https://t.co/IuK4GbPkxX

Kemar Roofe fit for Sunday, The Buff back looking sharp and scoring goals, and Ryan Kent player of the season so far. Pray for Hibs!
