Glasgow Rangers: Fans unhappy that Jon McLaughlin didn’t start against Czech Republic

Three Glasgow Rangers players were involved in the Scotland squad that faced the Czech Republic on Monday.

The build-up to the game was, for the lack of a better word, farcical. The fixture was initially cancelled when two Czech players contracted Covid-19, but UEFA said that the clash had to go ahead, which then meant that the home side had to pick a whole new squad and staff to complete the match.

Despite that, the Tartan Army only prevailed 2-1 and even that win came after the Czechs took the lead. In the end, not one of the ‘Gers players started, and it seems that many of the Ibrox outfit’s supporters were unhappy that Jon McLaughlin was not selected by Steve Clarke – after all, he has kept five clean sheets in his first five matches for the 54-time Scottish champions.

These ‘Gers supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts – one even called the situation a “joke” – and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
