Glasgow Rangers and the press have not had the best of relationships in recent weeks and months.
Keith Jackson and the Daily Record has been on the end of the fans’ wrath following a number of articles that appeared to attack the Gers, whilst Graham Spiers has also come under fire from supporters for his own views previously as well.

The Gers have not always only taken offence to comments on their own club, either – the coverage of the big stories in Scottish football involving other sides have also piqued their interest. That can be seen following the news that Dundee United are interested in taking Malky Mackay on as manager. The Scot is a more-than controversial figure, having previously admitted to sending homophobic and racist texts, but Spiers appears to believe that he would be a good appointment as he is a “decent, likeable guy“.
