Glasgow Rangers: Fans react as huge legal action news emerges

Glasgow Rangers may not be involved directly, but they will likely be keeping an eye on how the situation involving Hearts and Partick Thistle evolves.

On Monday, it was confirmed that there will be no reconstruction of the Scottish football league pyramid despite Ann Budge’s attempt to see a big change implemented – she was clearly looking for her club, the Jam Tarts, to avoid relegation to the second tier. However, only 16 sides agree that a mix-up was needed.

They are not the only side who have been hard done by, though – Thistle will also be dropping down a tier following the premature end to the campaign. Now, both clubs have confirmed that they will be taking legal action against the SPFL.

Now, it has been revealed that the two clubs are looking for a combined compensation package of £10m, with £8m going to Hearts and £2m to Thistle. This, as you can imagine, has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, who saw their club do battle with the SPFL recently too.
