The SPFL have not had the best of relationships with Glasgow Rangers in recent times.
It dates back to when the previous season was suspended due to the current pandemic. The Gers were adamant that the campaign could be ended on the pitch, but they appeared to be one of only a few clubs who thought as much at the resolution proposal vote. It then emerged that Dundee’s vote was first not registered, and then changed, which led to the Ibrox outfit accusing the governing body of corruption.

The 54-time Scottish champions even demanded an independent investigation into the authority, which was eventually quashed. Now, the Gers supporters appear to have been riled again. A letter has been sent to lower league clubs saying that if their stadiums don’t meet the required standard, home games could be played at an alternative venue.

Journalist Ewan Murray has correctly questioned this, saying that surely all clubs were admitted to the respective leagues on the basis that their grounds were acceptable. This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Perhaps they will deem that all games should be played at Celtic Park with the hosts entitled to financial recompence from the SPFL….blame the clubs for further financial impact and one club benefits……..just a thought !!
