The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t had a good day so far…
They’re still upset after losing to Liverpool last weekend, whilst news of a potential Alexis Sanchez departure has left supporters feeling deflated.
In truth, many have written off this season already – but James Ducker of the Telegraph has provided a news update that could change everything at the Emirates.
According to Ducker, Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal with Monaco for the transfer of Thomas Lemar – potentially putting an end to a summer of interest from the Gunners. Lemar still has to decide if he wants to make the move, though.
I'm told that Monaco and Arsenal have agreed a fee for Lemar but that it's now down to the player to decide if he will go #AFC

Reports of a move for Lemar have picked up the pace today, with Sky Sports recently reporting that the Gunners had made a move of over £90 million for him.
Now it seems as though the Gunners have finally had a breakthrough, and this has gone down fantastically amongst the fans in the Transfer Tavern.
Lemar, of course, was a star for Monaco last season – as the Ligue 1 outfit stormed to the title ahead of PSG.
It’s looking likely to be a very big evening for the Gunners.
Landlord’s Verdict
Lemar would be a top signing for the Gunners, there’s no doubt about that.
Last season, his trickery, pace and technique shone through in a side that was filled with talent – despite still being such a young player. He’s 21 at present, and so the best is certainly yet to come.
Wenger is a manager that has often been able to convince big players to move to the Emirates, and whilst Sanchez might be going, Lemar would be a fantastic replacement.
