The Belgian has been absent so far this season, having suffered an injury whilst representing his native Belgium earlier this summer.
Chelsea have really missed him, with his creativity and goal threat resulting in the Blues struggling going forward.
Fortunately, it appears as though the winger is slowly edging towards fitness, with Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur reporting that Chelsea are expecting him to feature for the Blues’ under-23 side this evening as he steps up his quest to return.

The game will allow Chelsea to get a real look at Hazard’s fitness, with the Belgian yet to play in a competitive fixture so far this term. Whilst the gulf in class between the age group and the senior level will be evident, the 26-year-old’s fitness levels will certainly be tested – and that’s all Chelsea are looking for.

Hazard’s return is just what Chelsea need right now.
Victory against Tottenham has helped to calm fears, but Chelsea are in a really bad spot at the moment.
The Blues need to recruit heavily, whilst they also need to keep their small crop of players fit. Hazard can’t be rushed back, but his return cannot come soon enough.
