Everything is changing at Liverpool at the moment, with the Reds getting better with every passing week. From new personnel to improved tactics to, more importantly, great results, Liverpool haven’t looked this good in a long time.
As Liverpool continue to grow, though, some players will be left behind, and we recently made the cases for Alberto Moreno being on the verge of an Anfield exit, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
He’s done little to suggest that he deserves a new deal at Anfield, and it appears as though lots of Liverpool fans agree.
We asked Liverpool fans whether the Spaniard is on the verge of an exit, and a whopping 78% of those polled have voted that he is, whilst just 22% of polled supporters clearly think that he’s got a future at Anfield.
Evidently, Moreno’s lack of action this season hasn’t worried fans, with most content for him to run his contract down.
He is, of course, not exactly the safest player in the world, and the many mistakes that he’s made over the years have taken their toll.
Realistically, Liverpool will have to sign someone to replace him if he does leave, given that they don’t have much depth at left-back, but Moreno has already proven that he’s not good enough to be the second choice.
Thoughts?
