Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really excited about the future of their club and today’s news has only helped further that.
The Blues have been in fine form this season and look well on course to qualify for Europe with Ronald Koeman building a very strong looking side at Goodison Park.
How long they are at Goodison, though, is up for debate with news today revealing that the club have agreed a deal to buy land at Bramley Moore Dock with the view to build a new ground there.
The likes of The Daily Mail has reported confirmation of the deal and our Everton fans think this is so crucial in the next step of their progression as a club.
Naturally, then, most are very happy and so, with that in mind, here is some of the best of the reaction on Twitter:
Still hurdles to overcome but #EFC have taken major step forward today. Waterfront stadium will be huge statement of intent for club & city

@WatchedToffee that seems to be it for now though, no planning permission or visuals of the stadium itself. But its a start
