After a mixed start to the Premier League for the Blues, it was always expected that Antonio Conte would look to ring the changes in January.
Chelsea are conceding goals every week, and under a defensively minded Italian like Conte – that was never going to stand.
Reports began to emerge earlier today linking the Blues with a huge move for Juventus ace Leonardo Bonucci – and the Chelsea fans are absolutely thrilled
Widely touted in the Tavern as the best central defender in Europe, Bonucci and Chelsea have long been linked; but the rumours appear to be gaining steam once again ahead of the January transfer window.
Whilst a deal for Bonucci certainly has some perks, our landlord is not totally convinced on the deal. The Chelsea fans in-house are all for it – but are Chelsea fans around the world of the same opinion?

Whilst Chelsea would no doubt be paying a top fee for a player that is reaching the twilight of his career – our landlord still thinks that it would be a good deal.
Chelsea are in desperate need of a top class central defender – and Bonucci definitely fits that bill.
A defence of Zouma and Bonucci, on first glance, would be unstoppable!
It doesn’t matter what anyone in the Tavern says – the Chelsea fans are longing for this deal to come true.
