Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a hectic few months at the club in the near future.
The Citizens have been going well this season but, arguably, they should be doing even better and residing closer to Chelsea in the Premier League table.
Indeed, they still need to make sure of a top four spot by the end of the campaign as well as trying to win the FA Cup and so there is still work to do for Pep Guardiola and his men.
Certainly, things off of the pitch also need sorting but it appears at least one thing is near resolution – Vincent Kompany’s future.
The defender has struggled with injuries for a fair old time at the club of late but – as quoted by The Times – his manager has suggested that he will not be leaving any time soon.
When asked if the Belgian had a future, Pep simply said:
“Yes, he has a contract.”
Pretty straight-shooting from Guardiola, then, and so we should safely assume the City skipper is staying put for now.
