As quoted by The Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola has said that he will not change his approach to the way Manchester City play despite a number of people criticising him recently.
The Spaniard even came in for some negative comments here in the Transfer Tavern from some of our City fans after the club’s latest display against Leicester City which shocked many here by the bar.
The Citizens were blitzed 4-2 by the reigning champions at the weekend, who had been struggling up until then, with their defence coming under fire for its display.
And, because of that, Guardiola received his fair share with some here in the Transfer Tavern even wondering if he’s really that good a manager.
That might be a tad extreme for now but the former Barcelona manager has come out to defend himself even so.
Guardiola said when asked if he’d change his approach:
“No. No way. We are going to play the way I feel, making mistakes. I can’t do something I don’t feel.”
Our landlord has taken a more reserved view of the whole situation thinking that Guardiola will get it right at the Etihad, he just needs the players to help adopt his tactics – something he does not have at the moment.
