The Everton fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been awfully quiet today…

You could put it down to Everton’s poor recent form, or you could put it down their current league position – but our landlord thinks that many of them are devastated after news emerged yesterday that Yannick Bolasie looks set to miss the rest of the season.

A summer signing at Everton, Bolasie reportedly suffered the injury against Man Utd – and whilst it looked innocuous, it appears as though it was anything but.

Knee ligament damage is the diagnosis, and as a result – Bolasie looks likely to miss the rest of the season as he begins his recovery.

This is terribly disappointing news for the Everton fans in the Tavern, many of whom had finally started to see a real connection between Bolasie and Everton forward Romelu Lukaku.

With over half of the season left to go, and Lukaku still woefully out of form – times are tough for Koeman and the Toffees, and unsurprisingly – they are absolutely devastated at the news of Bolasie’s injury.
