The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed about the result last night, but they’re feeling pretty optimistic about the second-half of the season…

In a game that had so much riding on it, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, unfortunately, couldn’t make the step up. In a tight, cagey game – it was Tottenham that got the 3 points at the end of the 90 minutes, with 2 goals from Dele Alli separating the 2 London giants.

Conte’s men can be forgiven, of course, especially given the fantastic run that they have been on over the last few months – but the result is disappointing nonetheless.

One thing that the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern do find difficult to forgive, though, is disappointing individual performances – and on the night, there were a couple of Chelsea players that performed well below par. One such player was David Luiz who, arguably, was at fault for both of Chelsea’s conceded goals.

It’s a very similar story online, too, with a large number of Chelsea fans fuming about Luiz’s poor performance, with a few singling out his poor defensive work in particular.
