‘He should leave’ - Fans on Twitter have strong feelings about Arsenal star indeed

Fans in the Transfer Tavern have been sharing their opinions on Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere. The England midfielder has been left out of Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad travelling to Russia and people have been questioning whether he needs a new challenge. On Sky Sports News, Danny Mills has claimed that he thinks Wilshere should look for a new club where he’ll play week in week out.

Jack Wilshere has been an Arsenal man his whole life. The 26-year-old, who feels like he should be much older than that given how long he’s been around, has made 198 Arsenal appearances in his ten years in the senior squad. The only experiences Wilshere has of playing football outside of Arsenal have come on-loan to Bournemouth and Bolton, which both seem to have helped his progress.

The midfielder has had a resurgence in the second half of this season, playing 38 games in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and registering six assists. The player was involved in both Euro 2016 and the World Cup in 2014, although he only clocked up five appearances across both tournaments. This time around he won’t be featuring, as yesterday’s squad revealed that he would be one of the bigger names missing out on a chance to play in the World Cup finals.

Wilshere does have the quality to play for Arsenal. He failed to develop after his promising breakthrough. He is so much over rated. He should leave.
