Rangers defender Filip Helander turned 27 on Wednesday.
The Sweden international is somewhat new to Ibrox, having joined from Serie A side Bologna for £3.5m last summer. He has made just 15 appearances so far this campaign for his new side, with injuries preventing him from being a more regular feature in Steven Gerrard’s starting XI.

He does come with some pedigree, having spent three campaigns in the Italian top flight before making the switch to Scotland, but it seems that the club’s supporters are not too happy with what he has offered so far. Twitter page WATP.com asked their followers exactly what they thought of his time at the club to date, and it is fair to say they aren’t too impressed – his lack of pace appears to be an issue.

The fans have taken to the social media platform to share their thoughts, with one suggesting he has been “underwhelming” so far in his Gers career.

Painfully slow, but his reading of the game means he rarely gets caught out.

A lot of money for someone I’m not convinced is any better than what we have. Take that as you like.
