The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been angrily responding to a story in The Sun that their dynamic German midfielder will stay at Anfield if he gets offered a contract worth £200,000 per week. The midfielder is set to leave Anfield on a free this summer as his contract expires, with Juventus and Manchester City both keen for his signature.
The Liverpool fans propping up our bar would happily see him go now though. The ex-Bayern Munich man has been a key feature under Klopp at Anfield but the fans have been disgusted with his most recent contract demand. Whilst the fans will no doubt be sad to see him leave in the summer, they’d rather see him go than see their club bend to meet his demands as they don’t believe the central-midfielder warrants such a ludicrous contract.
Emre Can has left his options very open and he is yet to agree on a contract with another club, despite being able to under the Bosman Ruling. The Liverpool midfield is looking as strong as it has been since Steven Gerrard was apart of it, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum all playing well and competing with Can for places this season. However, the fans will be keen to remind themselves that whilst Can could be leaving, Naby Keita will be joining the club in the summer giving the Kopites an instant replacement for their German midfielder.

If it's true he's probably demanding knowing there's no chance, he can leave for juve and say I wanted to stay but wasn't wanted. Christ if they pay the likes of him that salah and keita will want 300, 000.

He’s a crab , he had one good game for me against city, the rest average, he decision making is terrible, keeps hold of the ball to long then loses it and puts the defence under pressure, 200 k a week he’s having a giraffe get rid
