‘Hope he plays for Man Utd forever’ - Fans are loving reports surrounding £58.5m-rated attacker

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving their side’s attacking line-up at the moment. The signing of Alexis Sanchez in January has taken the Red Devils’ front line to the next level, and it’s safe to say that the next few years are looking set to be very exciting.

They haven’t all quite jelled yet, of course, but with that much talent, it’s only a matter of time until the Red Devils are at full strength going forward.

Undoubtedly, Anthony Martial – who is rated at £58.5 million by Transfer Markt – is going to be a key part of those plans. The Frenchman has struggled over the last few weeks following the arrival of Sanchez, but in terms of raw talent, he’s up there with some of Europe’s best.

It’s no surprise, then, that Man Utd are looking to hold on to him. According to The Times, the Red Devils are apparently looking to offer him a new deal in an effort to keep him at the club. This is further reinforced by ESPN, who are reporting a similar thing.

It certainly makes sense, given how good he was earlier in the season, not to mention the fact that his market value would likely begin to drop if his contract was allowed to wind down any further.

The fans over on Twitter have been reacting to this news over the last day or so, and it’s fair to say that they are pretty excited.

They’re touting the Frenchman as the future of the club, and alongside David De Gea, he’s one of the main individuals that they want to see sign fresh terms at Old Trafford.
