Arsenal fans are looking more than a little bit wound up here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro seem to think that the Gunners could well miss out on Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Southampton midfielder has long been linked with a move to North London and at one point, it had even been claimed that personal terms had already been agreed between the Gunners and the midfielder.
Now however, it seems that in an attempt to keep him at the club, the Saints and their manager Ronald Koeman have put together a fantastic new contract that they think will keep Schneiderlin on the south coast while maintaining their push to become one of the best sides in the Premier League.
That would of course be a massive blow to Arsene Wenger and over by the pool table one of our punters cannot help but quip that it is the same old story once again.
