The Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern were delighted with their side’s win over Cardiff City last night as they put a halt to their poor run of form and sparked some life into their hunt for automatic promotion. Indeed, while nothing is guaranteed, Villa at least helped stop the rot.
Jack Grealish’s late strike secured a vital win over the Bluebirds at Villa Park last night, sparking wild celebrations amongst our punters clad in claret and blue. As you can imagine, everyone involved with the club enjoyed the win last night and Steve Bruce’s men really were no different, taking to Twitter to thank fans for their support, as well as Grealish for the winner.

One of those, Robert Snodgrass, was greeted with a tonne of calls from fans on Twitter urging him to pen a permanent deal with the club. The Scotland international joined on loan from West Ham to aid Bruce’s promotion cause and, after his post online last night, Villa fans had one message for him.
