Though the season still has some way left to run this season, the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are already looking ahead to the next campaign.
The last few weeks have been a bit of a struggle for Jose Mourinho’s men, especially given their loss against Sevilla in the Champions League. Though they were expected to beat the Spanish side, Jose Mourinho’s men put in a poor showing – and they certainly didn’t deserve to win the game.
Similarly, their form in the Premier League has been poor as of late too. A top four finish looks likely, but many in the Transfer Tavern were hoping for a title challenge this season, and that looks very unlikely to happen at present.
Clearly, Jose Mourinho has a lot of work on his hands to turn this team around, and with the summer transfer window on the horizon, a few changes could be on the horizon.
What Man Utd really need is a player that can make an impact like Nemanja Matic. The Serbian has been crucial for the Red Devils this term, providing that midfield balance that they have lacked over the last few years.
Fortunately, there is a ton of talent on display in Europe at present that could do a real job for Jose Mourinho next season.
With that said, if Man Utd sign these 2 players, they could have a bigger impact than Matic next season…
Fred

Whilst Matic has turned Man Utd’s midfield fortunes around, he can’t do the job on his own.
Man Utd need another central midfield to both provide more quality and depth, which in turn could allow Paul Pogba to reach his potential.
Fred brings the characteristics that Mourinho needs. He’s a fantastic passer, tackler and he’s got boundless energy. Alongside Matic, in particular, he’d have a huge impact.
Danny Rose

Man Utd have got a few defensive problems at present, and the arrival of player like Danny Rose could make a big difference.
The Englishman has lost his way at Tottenham, and Man Utd could be the perfect home for him.
He’s got all the talent in the world, and over the last few years he has been one of the Premier League’s best.
Rose would add some real force down the left-hand side for the Red Devils.
