The Jose Mourinho era is yet to wholly convince the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, despite the blockbuster summer upon which the club embarked.
After a largely miserable few seasons under Louis van Gaal, the Red Devils seemingly made a deal with the devil himself as they turned to the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’.
Despite his vast track record of success, the Portuguese doesn’t seem like a natural fit at Old Trafford, considering the traditions at the club.
United legend Paul Scholes had some rather harsh words for the 53-year-old prior to the bore draw with Liverpool recently and he doesn’t seem to be enjoying a truly harmonious relationship there just yet.
Clearly, that could still change, though there’s little doubt this is new territory for a man who has managed the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
So the notion of him being sacked mid-season isn’t completely ridiculous – especially after what happened at Chelsea last year.
With that in mind, here are THREE options to replace him.
Guus Hiddink
Though not a long-term option, Guus Hiddink has picked up Mourinho’s mess before.
Brought in to steady the ship upon the former’s sacking at Chelsea last season, the Dutchman is the perfect man to bring in to the side in order to restore balance.
Ideal if the worst happens.

Laurent Blanc
Sacked by Paris Saint-Germain after failing to steer them into the Champions League semi-finals, Laurent Blanc already has connections to Manchester United.
The World Cup-winner played for the Red Devils during his earlier days and has more than enough experience in working with huge egos and big expectation.
Marcelo Bielsa
With both Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino otherwise occupied – how about the man who inspired them?
The enigmatic Argentine is out of work after leaving Lazio just TWO DAYS into his tenure in charge.
A wonderfully dynamic coach, he’d certainly introduce a more expansive style of play to the club.
