The Manchester City fans were delighted in the Transfer Tavern yesterday after their club confirmed the signing of Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao, but they are hoping to see their club complete further deals on deadline day.
Following weeks of speculation concerning a whole host of central defenders from across Europe’s top-divisions, Man City finally brought Laporte to the club in a club-record deal worth £57 million yesterday. Laporte’s arrival at the club means Guardiola now has 5 central defenders to chose from, namely Kompany, Stones, Otamendi, Mangala and of course Laporte himself, but that could be set to change during the course of transfer deadline day.
According to Sky Sports, Everton are interested in bringing Eliaquim Mangala to Goodison Park in a 6-month loan deal, and the news has been met with absolute delight by The Citizens faithful on Twitter.
The French international has made 15 appearances in all-competitions for City this season including 10 starts, but he has looked dangerously prone to errors and consistently unconvincing at the heart of the defence.
Considering the level of performance he has demonstrated so far this season, it is absolutely no surprise to see that the City fans have taken to Twitter to encourage Everton to secure a deal before the deadline passes at midnight tonight.
Here’s what the City supporters on Twitter have had to say about the potential of offloading Mangala to Everton…
I'll drive him there myself

His a wonderful athlete (great in the air, decent pace) but his defensive positioning, calmness on the ball and defending 1v1 situation he is terrible to put it lightly but I suppose we play a very expansive, open brand of football so he might do better at Everton under Allardyce
