A rivalry built upon success, the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham have often been forced to compete in high profile and complex fixtures in recent years – with varying levels of success achieved by each club.
On first glance, one might think that Arsenal or Tottenham lead the race as the most successful within the English capital – but it would seem as though that is not the case.
As confirmed by OptaJoe on Twitter, Chelsea are now the leaders when it comes to London derby victories – with their record of 118 now beating out Arsenal by 1.

Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over West Ham on Monday has sealed the bragging rights for the Blues, with Antonio Conte’s Chelsea likely to better that record over the coming years with his dominant team. With Chelsea also the only London side with a Champions League winning medal – it seems as though there can be no more doubts of their stature in the Transfer Tavern and in London as a whole.
