Image: Will this photo strike fear into Rodgers and Celtic ahead of UCL return?

It’s a return to Champions League action on Tuesday night for the Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern.

While the Bhoys in our bar have thoroughly enjoyed watching Brendan Rodgers’ side run riot in Scotland over the past year or so, it’s mixing with the European elite where the Hoops really get excited.

Still, as eager as they are to hear that famous Champions League music play at Parkhead on Tuesday night, few would doubt the size of the task at hand for the Scottish champions.

Paris Saint-Germain visit Glasgow on Tuesday and, if you didn’t know, the French giants have been rather active in the transfer market this summer.

Not only did they break a world record to bring Brazilian superstar Neymar to the Parc des Princes in the off-season, they recently announced the loan signing of Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe, one that looks like it will cost them around £160m next year.

Quite the expenditure.

With Mbappe recently being officially revealed by Les Parisians, photos have emerged of the superstar duo in training, images that strike fear into the hearts of the Bhoys in our bar.

Could Celtic Park play host to the first Champions League sighting of a strike partnership to change the course of European footballer forever? It certainly has that kind of feel.

Oh, and there’s also the small matter of a THIRD forward playing, either Angel Di Maria, Lucas Moura, Edinson Cavani or Julian Draxler.

Scary stuff indeed, though Celtic fans have been used to magical European nights before.
