While the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern obviously have bigger things to talk about right now, many of them are confused about Oumar Niasse’s form on loan at Hull City.
The Toffees in the Tavern watched the forward struggle to even get a game at Goodison Park, though have been surprised to see him work well under Marco Silva on Humberside as they battle relegation. In fact, the Senegal international’s two goals against Swansea City over the course of the weekend put the Tigers right back in the bid to beat the drop.
So, it’s little surprise to see the 26-year-old talk about the notion of extending his stay at the club next season. Though the Evertonians in the bar are annoyed they never got to see him in this type of form, the idea that they could receive money for a signing who proved oh so disappointing is relatively promising.
“It’s going to depend on my performances,” he said when asked about his future at the KCOM Stadium.
“But I think now the focus is to play the good football, to try to help the club stay in the league.”
He made just seven appearances for Everton, though may be able to command a fee should he move away, much to the delight of the locals in the bar.
Will Niasse leave Everton in the summer? Let us know below…
