Celtic will be desperate to improve on things after suffering defeat at the hands of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership recently.
The Hoops remain in pole position to secure the title but things are now much tighter at the top, with one slip-up possibly costing them their promising position.
One problem in the current campaign has been the lack of attacking options in the first-team ranks, as the likes of Mikey Johnston and Odsonne Edouard have struggled for support.
Therefore, with the January transfer window now here, Brendan Rodgers should be looking to bring at least one quality attacker to Celtic Park.
Moussa Dembele departed back in the summer transfer window and Leigh Griffiths is currently spending time out on the sidelines due to personal reasons, so Edouard and Johnston have been left to fend for themselves.
The recent Old Firm clash was a perfect example of Celtic’s need to bring in reinforcements in January, as they lacked any real conviction in the final third and would often lose the ball easily.
One player who could fill the void in the second half of the season is French side FC Nantes’ Emiliano Sala, who has scored 13 goals in 18 appearances so far this season.
Indeed, the Argentinian forward definitely knows how to ensure a consistent flow of goals and is currently in the peak years of his footballing career. He has plenty of pace at his disposal, can hold the ball up, is an aerial threat and has an eagle eye for goal, so he could be a perfect well-rounded striker for Celtic.
