One of the newest additions to the rules in the Premier League and EFL this season is the introduction of yellow and red cards to managers. Yesterday saw that rule in action, as Paul Lambert was given his marching orders during Ipswich’s 3-0 derby defeat against Norwich at Carrow Road, and the Blues loved seeing his passion on the sidelines.
Paul Lambert has been given a RED card by the referee.

For the fans, seeing a referee brandish a card in the direction of a manager all seems a bit strange still, so when Lambert was faced with his red card the Canaries inside Carrow Road loved it, and they weren’t the only ones. Ipswich Town have been in freefall heading for the drop to League One, and the fans are desperate to see some fight from their struggling side.
The passion shown on the sidelines by Lambert that saw him dismissed is what did it for the Tractor Boys, and they’ll all hope that the embarrassment of losing so heavily to their local rivals cab kick them into gear. Lambert’s side are currently nine points from safety and have it all to do, ut the first thing the fans want to see is a little bit of fight, and Lambert had that in him yesterday.

Lambert I love you, it’s about time we saw some passion and fight. @IpswichTown have been sleepwalking to relegation for ages. #COYB top bloke !

I don’t care that PL got sent off, I love the passion he’s showing. It’s what we need. If this doesn’t fire them up for the second half then nothing will. C’mon you blues #ITFC

Whilst the Ipswich fans were gutted with the result, they’re delighted to have finally shown some fight in a huge game.
