Though both Manchester clubs have failed to mount a significant title challenge this season, there’s little doubt one of the most interesting narratives of this campaign has been Pep Guardiola vs Jose Mourinho.
While neither will be lifting the Premier League title during their first season at their respective clubs, watching the pair at work in rebuilding their clubs has been of great interest to the punters in the Transfer Tavern.
Indeed, much has been made about Guardiola’s work with Manchester City this season. At times, they’ve looked as slick as you’d imagine one of his teams to be, though the Spaniard has undoubtedly failed to wholly convince this season.
Furthermore, recent comments suggesting he’d have been sacked at a ‘big club’ – such as former employers Barcelona and Bayern Munich – have angered some of the Sky Blues in the bar.
Also, as you can imagine, the Red Devils in this evening have been mocking Guardiola’s comments about City being a big club. With that in mind, here’s a closer look at how they reacted on Twitter.
